The 8th edition of the Ammar Popular Film Festival in Iran has revealed new poster and a lineup of key speakers for the event.
The Secretariat for the 8th edition of the Ammar Popular Film Festival released the names of the event’s speakers while unveiling its poster.
Hujjat al-Islam Alireza Panahian, Shahriar Zarshenas, Hassan Rahimpour-Azghadi, and Ebrahim Fayyaz are the key speakers of the festival.
The slated speakers will hold sessions on December 31, 2017 and January 2-4, 2018, in Cinema Felestin (Palestine).
The Ammar Popular Film Festival goes against promotion of “individualism and extreme enjoyment without caring about the society's troubles and other human suppression,” the event’s official website noted.
The festival also enjoys an international version (AIPFF) which aims “to raise real awareness and responsibility among the general public,” the AIPFF website read, adding the event’s mission is to create an atmosphere in which independent filmmakers and thinkers can gather together.
The 8th edition of the festival is scheduled to be held from December 27 to January 5, 2018.
